I received my Master of Fine Arts degree in writing fiction from Vermont College of Fine Arts, a top-ranked low residency program. I have a story published at Apple in the Dark literary magazine. Currently, I’m busy at work on my second novel. Fingers crossed for this one! My writing will always incorporate the fantastical, the hyper-pop-cultural, and probably some sort of semi-angsty drama—hopefully it comes off kind of funny. If I were to list some authors or works I feel inspired by, that list might include: Haruki Murakami, George Saunders, Franz Kafka, Clarice Lispector, Sally Rooney, Adventure Time, the films of Wes Anderson, and maybe a little bit of anime. Below is a link to my critical thesis from grad school. Please take a gander—and don’t worry—it’s not about pop culture, just philosophy. My creative thesis was my first novel …. It’s resting for the time being.
